Grandma and Uncle Timmy Visit: Saturday

Saturday was a day filled with Easter fun! Timmy was off visiting a friend, but the rest of us went to Rosemount in the morning for a community egg hunt. The giant soccer complex was divided into three fields by age group. All of the kids had to stand on the outside of the field until the start time. There were hundreds of kids there, and thousands of pieces of candy! It was quite the event.

The weather for the egg hunt definitely was not on our side. It was freezing and incredibly windy. I don't think Caden was too happy to be there. Once he got going, though, he seemed to enjoy it.

Every child was allowed to pick up six eggs and twenty pieces of candy on the first hunt. At first Caden didn't want to cooperate. Once he realized it was chocolate he was hunting, however, he was all for it. There were many different types of candy to grab, but all Caden wanted were the little chocolate eggs. We gathered our allotment and got out of there before the crowds.

Saturday afternoon my mom and I hit the stores while the guys stayed home to play sports. That night we dyed eggs. Caden was sleeping when we dyed with Lexi a few weeks ago so we weren't sure how he'd handle this. He actually was really good! He loved dropping the eggs in the cups and then stirring them around. He was very demanding about it, though, and ended up with more eggs than everyone else.

I love how serious he is all the time when trying new things. It was like a very precise science experiment for him. I thought he did great for his first time dying. He's a quick learner!
