Grandma and Uncle Timmy Visit: Friday

On Friday Greg took off work and we all went to the Children's Museum in St. Paul. We got there when it opened and already there were huge groups of kids walking around. We decided to start at the top level in the play area. We had the whole room to ourselves and Caden loved it! His favorite part was the steep wide slide. On his last trip down, however, he tripped and banged his cheek. He received quite a bruise. :(

The next part of the museum was a little daunting, but the dinosaurs weren't turned on so they weren't as scary as the last time we went. Caden really enjoyed playing with the little dinosaurs.

The rest of the museum was very crowded and quite overwhelming. Caden isn't really old enough to hold his own against other children and I think it's hard for him to be around so many at once. When we were walking into the water area a pair of kids holding hands completely trampled Caden. Literally knocked him over and walked right over the top of him. In the next room some kid was waving a flag on a wooden stick around and smacked Caden in the face - right on top of his new bruise. By this time he only wanted to be held and wasn't enjoying any part of being there.

It seemed that in the whole museum Caden's favorite exhibit was this scale for weighing rice! He was having a grand time jumping on it and watching the bar spin around the circle.

After the Children's Museum we had lunch at Snuffy's Malt Shop. We all filled up on plenty of delicious fried food and malts! Caden thoroughly enjoyed his chicken tenders, french fries, and as much of my fudge banana malt he could suck down!

Back at home Caden opened his Easter presents from Grandma. He got a soccer net, a golf set, a cute stuffed bunny, and a bag full of candy. Caden, Greg, and Timmy had a great time the rest of the weekend playing so many sports both in the house and outside. Caden is turning into quite the athlete!

We ended the day by taking a walk to the park. Caden sure loves it there!
