March Comes to an End

It is the last day of a wonderful month! It was the perfect day too, with lots of sun, a temperature in the 70's, and no heavy winds. We were able to spend about three hours outside today - time in the morning playing sports, a walk to the park in the afternoon, a brief visit with the daycare kids digging rocks, and then playtime with Daddy. It was so warm today that we even had to make a trip to Kohls to buy Caden a few pairs of shorts! I bought him two cute outfits for now, but I think he's going to be needing more very soon! It seems he's been going through quite a growth spurt in the last few weeks.

Yesterday we began the second to last step in our weaning process - taking away the nap time nursing. I expected it to be horrible and assumed we'd go days if not weeks before he would learn to fall asleep on his own. I was pleasantly surprised that this does not seem to be the case! Yesterday Caden cried and whined in his crib for the first 45 minutes. I eventually went back in to remind him it was nap time and he should be sleeping. A few minutes later he was sound asleep and took a solid two hour nap! Today went even better. He was flipping through books before I even left the room and twenty minutes later with very little fuss he fell asleep and took an hour and a half nap. I'm really happy because I truly wanted him to self-wean which is why we've taken this so slowly. With these little pushes from me it seems like it's actually happening. I'm very proud of him!

In other news, Caden officially has eleven teeth with a twelfth (finally the fourth bottom front tooth) making progress. We know the tooth (possible more than one) is on its way because his pooping has been crazy the last few days. That's been our warning call with all the other teeth too. Fortunately he seems to finally be getting used to the pain and it doesn't bother him as much.

Also, Caden has consistently been using the "hungry" and "thirsty" signs in the last couple of days. It's so gratifying to be playing and then have him suddenly tell me he's thirsty. I can give him a drink and he goes on happy as can be without that usual communication struggle we used to have. After being around other kids his age more recently, though, I'm getting pretty worried about his lack of verbal communication. Hopefully we'll figure out a coarse of action when we go to the doctor on Monday for his 18 month checkup.

Well, this month just flew by! It was great, though. It looks like spring is finally here and we have some very busy months ahead of us!

Grandma and Uncle Timmy Visit: Monday

On our last morning with Grandma we went to the MN Zoo. Caden was extremely excited to show Grandma his favorite exhibit - the fish!

We finished our visit together with lunch at Taco Bell. Overall it was a fantastic and fun filled long weekend with family. We are so glad Grandma and Uncle Timmy could come and visit!

Grandma and Uncle Timmy Visit: Sunday

On Sunday we decided to continue our Easter themed weekend and have a practice run looking for eggs. The Easter Bunny came while Caden was getting dressed and hid eggs all over the living room. With a little direction from us Caden quickly found all of his eggs and burst every single one of them open, sending jellybeans flying. Of course he then had to eat as many as he could.

He's on a sugar high here.

In the afternoon we took all Caden's new toys outside to play with. Caden seems to have the most fun kicking the "Goal!" box on the net with his foot instead of trying to shoot the balls in.

On Sunday night Timmy went home, but Grandma stayed for one more day.

Grandma and Uncle Timmy Visit: Saturday

Saturday was a day filled with Easter fun! Timmy was off visiting a friend, but the rest of us went to Rosemount in the morning for a community egg hunt. The giant soccer complex was divided into three fields by age group. All of the kids had to stand on the outside of the field until the start time. There were hundreds of kids there, and thousands of pieces of candy! It was quite the event.

The weather for the egg hunt definitely was not on our side. It was freezing and incredibly windy. I don't think Caden was too happy to be there. Once he got going, though, he seemed to enjoy it.

Every child was allowed to pick up six eggs and twenty pieces of candy on the first hunt. At first Caden didn't want to cooperate. Once he realized it was chocolate he was hunting, however, he was all for it. There were many different types of candy to grab, but all Caden wanted were the little chocolate eggs. We gathered our allotment and got out of there before the crowds.

Saturday afternoon my mom and I hit the stores while the guys stayed home to play sports. That night we dyed eggs. Caden was sleeping when we dyed with Lexi a few weeks ago so we weren't sure how he'd handle this. He actually was really good! He loved dropping the eggs in the cups and then stirring them around. He was very demanding about it, though, and ended up with more eggs than everyone else.

I love how serious he is all the time when trying new things. It was like a very precise science experiment for him. I thought he did great for his first time dying. He's a quick learner!

Grandma and Uncle Timmy Visit: Friday

On Friday Greg took off work and we all went to the Children's Museum in St. Paul. We got there when it opened and already there were huge groups of kids walking around. We decided to start at the top level in the play area. We had the whole room to ourselves and Caden loved it! His favorite part was the steep wide slide. On his last trip down, however, he tripped and banged his cheek. He received quite a bruise. :(

The next part of the museum was a little daunting, but the dinosaurs weren't turned on so they weren't as scary as the last time we went. Caden really enjoyed playing with the little dinosaurs.

The rest of the museum was very crowded and quite overwhelming. Caden isn't really old enough to hold his own against other children and I think it's hard for him to be around so many at once. When we were walking into the water area a pair of kids holding hands completely trampled Caden. Literally knocked him over and walked right over the top of him. In the next room some kid was waving a flag on a wooden stick around and smacked Caden in the face - right on top of his new bruise. By this time he only wanted to be held and wasn't enjoying any part of being there.

It seemed that in the whole museum Caden's favorite exhibit was this scale for weighing rice! He was having a grand time jumping on it and watching the bar spin around the circle.

After the Children's Museum we had lunch at Snuffy's Malt Shop. We all filled up on plenty of delicious fried food and malts! Caden thoroughly enjoyed his chicken tenders, french fries, and as much of my fudge banana malt he could suck down!

Back at home Caden opened his Easter presents from Grandma. He got a soccer net, a golf set, a cute stuffed bunny, and a bag full of candy. Caden, Greg, and Timmy had a great time the rest of the weekend playing so many sports both in the house and outside. Caden is turning into quite the athlete!

We ended the day by taking a walk to the park. Caden sure loves it there!

Grandma and Uncle Timmy Visit: Thursday

Last Thursday Grandma and Uncle Timmy came to visit Caden for some very exciting bonding time! They arrived in the afternoon and Caden was all smiles. It probably had something to do with the fact that they brought his basketball hoop with them - a gift from Christmas that we haven't had room to bring home with us since then.

In the few months since Caden last saw his hoop he's gotten a lot taller and more talented. He was making basket after basket!

He was pretty proud of himself after each basket. When he missed, though - watch out! Caden has very little patience when things don't go exactly his way. Whenever he missed a shot he'd scream and come running at me full speed like it was all my fault. Fortunately, after the first day he was a lot more accepting when he missed.

18 Months Old

Today we celebrate Caden's 18 month birthday! It's hard to believe he has already hit this milestone. The time has passed so quickly. It's amazing to think about how much he has grown and learned in these first 18 months of his life. We are so proud of him!

Unfortunately we did not have the best of days. For whatever reason Caden is still waking up every few nights. Last night he was up four times in a two hour period. I expected that he would be wiped out by nap time today, but as like most days when I'm desperate for him to nap, he wanted nothing to do with sleeping. We had a busy morning of errand running and then had a lunch of beef sticks and crackers in the park. By afternoon we were both at our limit of patience and happiness. These crabby days are never fun.

We did get a nice surprise in the mail today, however - Easter presents from Grandma and Grandpa Noe. We decided we didn't want to wait that long so tore into the box as soon as Greg got home. Caden immediately went for the chocolate. He has quite the sweet tooth!

Caden loved his new pizza and ice cream cone food sets. He had even more fun unwrapping the tissue paper. He is definitely an expert present opener by now.

We ended our day by having a celebratory half birthday dinner of pizza and cupcakes. Caden ate his whole slice and asked for more - too bad we didn't think he'd eat that much and already finished off the pizza. So we just moved him on to the cupcake and he ate the top half - fingertip by fingertip. :)

I realize I haven't written in almost a week, but nothing very exciting has happened. We're still trying to get outside as often as possible because Caden loves it so much. It's fun to see him in the parks because he's getting more and more brave about climbing the structures and going down the slides by himself.

Almost every afternoon we spend at least an hour at Crea's playing with the daycare kids. Caden has gotten to the point where when I open the door to let him out he immediately heads to their house! He's still incredibly reserved and shy when we're there, but I'm starting to see him loosen up the tiniest bit. He likes to watch the other kids and today he even tried kicking the balls to them. I'm really hoping these afternoon visits will help him socially in the long run.

We spent last Saturday with Lexi and Caden participated in his first egg pecking contest. He slept through the dying, but had no hesitation when it came to banging eggs together! He of course had to throw a few across the kitchen as well.

Well, the last 18 months have been a wonderful whirlwind of excitement and fun. I can't wait to see what will come next!

St. Patrick's Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day! This is one of my favorite days of the year. My mom always made sure this was a very special day in our family and I've always loved celebrating it. I'm trying to keep up the tradition so Caden will always appreciate his 25% Irish heritage and love this holiday as much as I do!

We started this day by cracking open many of the windows. Caden LOVES the fresh air. He's recently figured out how to climb onto his window seat and now that the winter plastic coverings are off we can open his blinds again. He's been pretty thrilled to suddenly realize he has a huge window in his room he can look out of! Opening the window and getting a breeze just makes it all the better. He was so happy sitting in his window this morning it took quite a lot of coaxing to get him to leave!

Moms club hosted a Leprechaun Hunt at a nearby park this morning and we decided to join the fun. Caden immediately headed for the swings and was very happy to stay there the entire morning. He had no interest in doing anything else. Eventually I convinced him we should at least to check out the play equipment. While we were walking over an elderly lady showed up with a toddler and a dachshund. Caden was immediately fascinated by the dog and charged over there. He then proceeded to basically stalk this lady and her grandson around the park for the next fifteen minutes. It was so funny because she would keep stopping so Caden could pet the dog. But instead of petting him, he'd just plop down on the ground like he expected the dog to climb in his lap. The dog was not interested. Overall it was a fun morning hanging out with other moms and kids in a different park.

We went out in the yard again this afternoon when the temperature hit around 60 degrees. Caden immediately sensed when Crea and her daycare kids came outside and he headed right over. We spent a long time over there riding bikes and going down the slide. Caden is always extremely quiet when we're there, but you can tell he's just fascinated by other children. Hopefully after a few weeks of visiting he'll finally start acting like himself!

We stayed at Crea's until Greg came home. It's always a joy to see Caden's reaction when he first sees daddy. Today the second he saw him Caden started jumping, clapping, yelling "yaayy!!" and running as fast as he could to Greg. It was so sweet. It's obvious Caden adores his daddy!

We then went home for our traditional St. Patrick's Day family photo shoot and dinner. It was a simple, but wonderful day.

Just for fun, here's our photo from last year...

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Donut Picnic

Last summer our family started a tradition of going on pizza picnics every week or two. It was an inexpensive and easy way to just get out of the house and enjoy some time together. I decided today to start a new tradition with just Caden and I - donut picnics! I needed a few things from the grocery store so I picked up a few donuts as well and on the way home we stopped at one of our favorite parks to share the treats. Caden was quite excited to sit at the table like a big boy. Afterward, despite the fact it was freezing out, we went on the swings. Caden was too scared to walk across the sand so I had to carry him. He seemed a little freaked out when I first put him on the swing, but got really angry when I tried to take him out. We spent about twenty minutes swinging until Caden's teeth started chattering and I decided it was time to go home. Caden still hadn't had enough. I think we're going to be doing lots of swinging this year!

This afternoon we spent two hours playing outside. Caden was a lot more comfortable walking in the grass today. He was playing with a bunch of plastic balls and repeatedly going down his little slide. When Greg got home we went to Crea's for a little bit to ride bikes and blow bubbles. Caden must really like it over there because he threw one of his biggest tantrums ever when we brought him home for dinner.

I finally got around to taking some videos of Caden tonight. He's becoming quite the soccer player! I can't decide which is the best video, so here are links to them all. Enjoy!

Cherries are the Best

I should probably just wait until Caden is in bed at night to make entries because something else always happens that feels noteworthy.

For dinner tonight we gave Caden a fruit cup. He was digging into it pretty well, which is always nice. When he spooned up his first cherry Greg was like "Oh, you got a cherry!" We watched and after swallowing that first cherry he threw down his spoon and started digging through the fruit cup for more! It was hilarious. After that he picked the whole cup up and twirled it around until he spotted the last cherry from the side. He's a smart kid - he already knows the cherries are the best part.

Also, I forgot to mention that Caden skyped with Aunt Melissa for the first time yesterday. He seemed pretty excited about seeing her and tried holding the phone up to her face. Hopefully the rest of the family can get hooked up soon so Caden can skype with them too. He's pretty antsy and doesn't last long, but it would be nice for everyone to see him every once in awhile when they can't see him that often in person. It's really good for him too.

That's all for now!

Weekend Update

This has been another fun filled weekend for all of us. On Saturday Caden had his second day being babysat by our neighbor Crea. From the sounds of it, he had a good time. He only cried for a few seconds after Greg dropped him off and spent the rest of the day following Crea everywhere she went. When we picked him up he was half asleep in her arms - same as the last time! I think all those kids really wear him out!

Because he went without a nap we decided to just put him to bed an hour early and hope that the time change wouldn't affect him. It worked out perfectly. He actually slept a full thirteen hours, which I think is the longest he's ever slept in one stretch. This was also the seventh night in a row that he's slept through, so I think we can finally say it's official! It's about time!

Today we had plans to visit Lexi at her mom's house in Owatonna and spend the day exploring the town. We got a call from her mom five minutes before we were supposed to leave, though, and Lexi was sick. So we were really disappointed to have another perfect day planned and then canceled. But since we were already to go we decided to make the most of the day and head to the zoo. Daylight savings worked in our favor - the zoo was pretty empty compared to how it normally is on weekends. We spent about an hour and a half there walking all around. We were already for a nap by the time we got home!

After nap the weather was so perfect that we decided to head back outside. We even took the cats and spent some time playing in the yard. It was funny at first because Caden was extremely unsure about walking in the grass. It's pretty mushy and hilly, so I imagine it must be a little scary. After awhile he was doing a little better. By the time we were ready to go in Caden was running straight into the gigantic flooded part of our yard!

Caden is still picking up on signs pretty quickly. We both wish he'd start saying words, but since he doesn't seem to have much interest, we're going to encourage the signing. Yesterday I taught him the sign for cat once and today he used it totally on his own when pointing Jack out to Greg. I asked him to do it again and he did! Yesterday morning he also did the sign for phone - and I've never even taught him that one! So he picks up on some pretty quickly and others he hasn't shown me yet. I keep using hungry and thirsty, but he ignores those. His best sign is definitely for more. He does it repeatedly when he's eating, when he wants to look at the sewer drains in the road, and occasionally when he wants something to eat. It's really fun to finally have this way for him to communicate on a very basic level back with us.

Hopefully the wonderful weather will keep up and we'll get lots of outside time this week. We're ready for more adventure after a full week of rain and fog.

Walkers and Talkers

Today was our first day of Walkers and Talkers. It felt a lot different than Tiny Tots. For starters, there are fourteen kids. So total there were 32 people crammed into the room where we used to have eleven. I couldn't believe how many people kept piling into the room in the first half hour of class when I kept assuming everyone that was going to be there was already in the room! It felt very crammed and overwhelming.

The format to the class is a lot like Tiny Tots. We start with half an hour of play time. There are art projects and science projects set up. This week's science project was putting squares of colored tissue paper into beakers of water and stirring it to see what color it would turn. I felt really bad for Caden because all he wanted was to drink the water. It's hard to put a glass of water in front of him and expect him to know he can't drink it. Then the art station was set up with paints of different colors. We used real paints (washable) - a step up from colored corn syrup from our last class. Caden wouldn't cooperate with wearing the giant painting bib and threw another fit at that station.

After play time the moms had a discussion time. Today it was mostly just introducing ourselves and our kids. I think there were six boys and eight girls. Most of the moms seemed to already know each other from taking this class in the last session. The class age ranges from 16 to 23 months and most of the kids seemed to be around 20 months. We recognized Jack and Elise from Tiny Tots and another girl Olivia that we've met at a few moms club events.

Snack time followed the discussion. We had to pull the tables apart to make enough room for everyone. Caden joined in with everyone else wildly signing for more cookies over and over again. It was pretty funny looking around the room and seeing almost every child making that sign. It must be something they learn from each other pretty quickly.

After snack time we had circle time and sang a few songs. The kids always seem to like that part best. After singing we did something new - gym time. We walked through the school to a small gym that was filled with every kind of small bike, scooter, and toddler moving toy imaginable. There were also mats, balls, and hula hoops. Caden tried out a few things and spent most of his time in a little car.

Overall, I have mixed feelings about the class. It might have been because he just started the day out crabby, but Caden seemed very overwhelmed by the amount of people. He threw A LOT of tantrums while we were there. It was funny, though - I think he and Jack recognized each other because they kept being drawn to each other in the crowded room. I feel like the class size is really too big. It felt unorganized and definitely hard to have a discussion with yelling and screaming kids everywhere. But it was only the first day. Maybe things will be better in the future.

In other news, Caden seems to be picking up signs from people other than me! I've only thumbed through a signing book once and realized he's actually making a lot of correct signs. He does the diaper sign when he has a poopy. He knows how to do the hungry sign, which I never realized he was doing until this morning. He's used "more" many times today during breakfast, class, and lunch. He also makes a panting noise when he sees dogs which is actually baby sign language for dog. I was impressed! In the book I glanced through I read that most kids just develop their own sign language for things and it's up to the parents to figure out what they mean. So I've been trying to watch him a lot more closely and he really does seem to be communicating quite often through his actions. It's exciting to see while we're still anxiously waiting for real words to form. Hopefully those will start coming soon.

Rain Boots

I was a little too quick to send out that last update - I have more to add!

The other day I found Caden some rain boots. He wasn't with me, so I just bought the smallest size and hoped they'd fit since Target was almost out. Caden was very interested in them until they were actually on his feet. On Sunday after I brought them home he kept trying to put them on himself and then he'd start screaming once they were actually on.

This afternoon it was raining and we needed to blow off some steam so I put the boots on and took him out. At first he was crying and too scared to move. After a few minutes, however, he was fine. He ran down the driveway and then held my hand as we very slowly made our way to the mailbox. He wouldn't keep his hood on, though, and the rain started to bother him before we even reached the mailbox. So I carried him back to the driveway. He started up and fell and threw a total fit because his hands were dirty. That put a very quick end to our time in the rain! But I think the boots will work and be much more appropriate for our puddle walks this spring.

This is exciting - Caden can now catch a ball! Aunt Sarah was working with him on it during her last two visits and Greg picked up on it since then. They practice every night and Caden continues to get better. Today he caught quite a few balls in a row! It's fun to see how excited he gets every time he looks down and realizes the ball is in his hands.

Going to stores with Caden has gotten significantly more interesting in the last week or so. On days when I know he's not going to get much extra exercise otherwise, I let him walk on his own. I figure he needs the practice on walking where I want him to. Most of the time he's actually a really good listener. He always looks at things that interest him, but he stays near me and hardly ever puts up fights when I tell him we're moving on. Yesterday at Kohls, however, he really surprised me by suddenly being terrified of the cracks between the tiles on the floor. I'm not sure if it was because of that bridge at the park or what. Greg had him on the deck on Sunday and he wouldn't take a single step. I guess the tiles at Kohls remind him of those places and he thinks he's in danger. So here I thought I'd let him get some exercise and I ended up carrying him through most of the store!

Another very exciting thing for him are automatic sliding doors at most of the stores we go to. He is fascinated by them, which is usually not a good thing! Whenever I set him down in the library he immediately takes off to the doors. Today at CVS he was getting really brave. We were walking down the aisles and every once in awhile he'd pick something up and carry it for a minute. Then I'd ask him to put it back and he'd always go back and set it in the exact spot where he got it. He must have gotten bored, however, because suddenly he disappeared. I wasn't too concerned because nobody is ever in that store. I stepped into the main aisle and saw him running full speed to the automatic door! I took off and caught him just before he left the store. Many more days like this he might lose his walking privileges only days after I gave them to him! Every outing is certainly an adventure.

Cranky Climber

The only real thing I have to update on today is Caden's latest sleeping habits. Fortunately, he's been sleeping through almost every night. Unfortunately, he's decided to give up taking decent naps. Every day for the last week he's taken a 45-75 minute nap and then wakes up screaming. I usually leave him in there for about twenty minutes, hoping that he'll fall back to sleep. It hasn't happened yet! It's frustrating because he used to take on average a two hour nap and wake up in a wonderful mood. Now it's the total opposite. Not only can I get a lot less done during his nap period, then I have to deal with hours of tantrums until Greg gets home and Caden immediately perks up.

Two weeks ago I started a parenting class at church called Love and Logic. So far I'm finding it very helpful in giving me ideas on how to better handle Caden's constant whining and tantrums. When it comes to throwing fits, Love and Logic advises saying, "Uh oh, it's time for bedroom time. You can come out when you're sweet." Or something along those lines. Basically it says to consistently put your child in his room when he's throwing a tantrum or misbehaving until he is calm. Anyway, I won't go into it all, but I've been trying to use this new method. Sometimes it seems to work quite well and other times not at all. It seems that Caden spends most of his afternoon in his crib because every time I go to get him he throws another tantrum before I'm even able to take him out. It seems like nothing ever makes him happy anymore.

In other news, Caden is becoming quite the climber! We need to keep a very close eye on him because he can climb on just about anything now. If we leave chairs pulled out he's on the table before you know it, usually examining the candles. He can also climb on the toilet and get anything he wants off the counter. He likes to crawl onto my desk and grab anything and everything that looks interesting. Basically nothing is out of reach for him anymore.

In the last day or two, Caden has started saying "mama" a lot more often and he seems to actually be calling me it instead of just mumbling it to himself like he used to. So that's exciting for me. Though I read a statistic the other day that said by 18 months toddlers should be able to say 68 words. Greg and I aren't too concerned, though it is getting pretty frustrating when he desperately wants something and won't say anything but "mmm! mmmm!" At least he seems to be trying a little harder to spit words out every day. Earlier today when I was changing his diaper he kept saying "mom, mom!" So I said, "Can you say mom again?" He started laughing and yelled "Daddy!" He thinks he's pretty funny!

Little Dippers

This has been a week of adventures for Caden! Monday we shopped (not so exciting), Tuesday we explored the park, Wednesday we tried out open gym, Thursday we walked the entire outside loop of the zoo, and today we tried something very different - Little Dipper's Open Swim at Lakeville Family Swim School. I heard about this from a friend of mine a few weeks ago and was interested in trying it out. Even though our Dells trip in January was a total disaster, I thought that maybe Caden would feel a little more comfortable in a smaller pool with less people and less noise.

It actually wasn't too bad. There were only four kids and their parents for most of the 45 minutes we were there. The pool is kept at a very warm temperature, so that alone made it a much more enjoyable experience for me anyway! Caden was a little whimpery when we first got in the water and he had a pretty tight grip on me the whole time we were there, but he did seem to relax after a bit. He even let me flip him around on his back and float him in the water. He was okay with that as long as his head was on my shoulder and he was holding one of my hands. We tried sitting on the steps too, which he handled fairly well. Overall, I'd say it was at least a much better water experience for Caden. He wasn't by any means excited to be there, but he did seem content to just float around the pool. We probably won't go back again until he's older and hopefully enjoys swimming, but I'm glad we tried it out today.

As Caden's night is coming to an end it seems like he's back to not feeling too well again. I think he has a slight fever and is probably just overly tired. Most of his naps this week were only an hour long. He has been sleeping through the night about four or five nights a week the last two weeks, which has been a great improvement. We've officially weaned him off his morning feeding and are getting ready to get rid of the naptime feeding. I'm dreading it and probably going to put it off at least another week.Caden's second molar is about to pop through and it looks like that last empty spot in front is getting ready to show a tooth as well. I can't wait for teething to end!

We're looking forward to a relaxing weekend at home. Hopefully the weather is nice and we'll have lots of opportunities to play outside!

Apple Valley Open Gym

Today Caden and I finally got around to visiting the Apple Valley Community Center's open gym time for preschoolers. I heard about this from somebody in Tiny Tots about a month ago and was finally decided to go. Actually, we went on Monday only to find out that the time had changed and we missed it. So today we were right on time!

This open gym time is free and happens every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I really wish I had learned about it in November so we could have made use of it all winter long. Caden seemed to really enjoy being there, though I couldn't help thinking how much I would have rather been playing outside again. It was fun, though. Tons of balls to kick and throw, a huge open space, and only about fifteen kids and a few adults. We stayed for an hour and will definitely be going back again.

Caden had another really good day mood-wise. I'm not sure if it's because he hasn't been cooped up in the house or he's finally just feeling better. But I'm really enjoying him not screaming at me all day long! We went on another long walk after his nap and stopped at the neighbor's house to ride tricycles with the daycare kids. Caden didn't move from his spot, but he was fascinated watching all the other kids.

I'm pretty sure Caden has been picking up some sign language from his Baby Einstein videos. I think I better get learning because I had no idea what he was trying to tell me today! I'm so proud of him for even trying that communication. Hopefully I can get up to speed and we can finally understand each other a little better.

That's all for today!
